The Relais  "Palazzo Palesa" is a magnificent Renaissance Palazzo and the antique residence of the Piccolomini Family, as shown by an armonial bearning that  hangs over the entrance. Later the building was bought by the aristocratic Palesa Family from Padova. The Palace is loated int the antique hamlet of Celle Sul Rigo in the south of Tuscany. The hamlet is characterized by many Renaissance Palazzi that testify the  historical importance of the palace. Celle sul Rigo is situated in the Val d'Orcia, known as the most beautiful spot of the world, at the feet  of the Mount Cetona, but also on the "Via Francigena" near the boundarys of Umbria, and Lazio and only 3 km away from the famous spa of S. Casciano dei Bagni, and the natural Reserve of Mount Rufeno. The stay of the famous poet Giosue' Carducci has certainly contributed of the fame of Celle. Nearly are situated other artistically important places as Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, Radicofani, Orvieto and Viterbo. The Relais offers six different rooms with bathroom, all with antique finiture. BREAKFAST will be served in the antique " Granaio" (barn) or "celle" (cells) that look on a beautiful garden surmounted  by a huge 150 year-old laurel tree. In order to preserve your peace we decided not to supply tv or phones in the bedrooms, all rooms are supplied books  to contribute to a relaxed stay.  Nearly the antique hamlet you will be able to find recreational sport centres that offer such as : horseback riding, tennis and guided mountain bike tours.
